PAST EVENT: A Circular Bioeconomy for Growth and Innovation

The EU Bioeconomy Strategy, set for adoption by the end of 2025, aims to bolster innovation and solidify the EU's leadership in the bioeconomy by proposing actions to bring bioeconomy innovations to market, create green jobs, reinforce circularity and sustainability, and align with initiatives like the Clean Industrial Deal.

Europe has become the world's business leader in the bioeconomy field, with massive investments, exports, resources, and revenues. Particularly, the forest-based bioeconomy sector has played a big role in substituting fossil-based products with sustainable bio-based solutions.

The event, featuring Commissioner Jessika Roswall, will address the aspirations, needs, and challenges associated with this initiative, underscoring the importance of leveraging the circular bioeconomy for employment, growth, and resilience amidst geopolitical challenges.
